Unversal skid steer mounted combine.

Wouldn't it be more cost effective to build a micro-combine that can be connected to the universal mount on the LifeTrac, rather than building a dedicated machine?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Combines have some unique requirements that make attachment to a tractor somewhat less than ideal. The separator is bulky. The most reliable designs pass straw straight through, so you need a clear, straight-line path front-to-back. Meanwhile the operator needs a clear view of the header.

There have been some successful 3-point hitch mounted combines, but they tend to be unwieldy in the field, with side-mounted headers. They don't steer easily, the tractor runs over the crop on the first pass, and the combined width of tractor and combine is greater than many roads, gates, etc.

So, take your tractor, move the operator forward, mount the header on the front and the separator on top, and it seems like it would work, but how much of your tractor do you recognize?
