    • Make the notch shown in the image. The image shows the notch at 7 1/4", but I would make it 7 5/8". You want to leave 3 1/2" of board when you are finished making the notch.

  3. Make 8 studs at 4' - 9 9/16" long, to be used as shown in the image. These pieces are all identical to each other.
